Our colleague Christoph Praschl had the opportunity to present the research paper “Synthetic UAV Imagery for Ecological Monitoring Using Generative Artificial Intelligence” at EUROCAST 2026 – The 20th International Conference on Computer Aided Systems Theory.

The work explores how LoRA-adapted diffusion models can be used to generate high-quality synthetic RGB and thermal UAV imagery, even when only very limited real-world training data is available. The results highlight promising opportunities for applying generative AI to ecological monitoring and automated wildlife observation.

We are delighted about the successful presentation and the valuable international exchange at EUROCAST 2026!
