The fifth edition of the workshop on “Camera Traps, AI, and Ecology” took place on September 9-10, 2025, at the Allen Institute for AI (Ai2) in Seattle. Following last year’s event at the Hagenberg Campus of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, the workshop traveled halfway around the world to the Pacific Northwest. Our colleague Christoph had the pleasure of supporting the organization team on site and thus contributing to the realization of this hybrid event. In addition to supporting the organization team, Christoph had the opportunity to present some of our research results on drone-based wildlife tracking in forest areas.
